Job Description

Are you an experienced journalist looking to transition to PR? Can you work with clients and pitch ideas to the media? Then you will thrive in this PR firm working with international design agencies. Based in Brighton they are looking for a confident writer to join their brilliant team of experienced and driven journalists.


Key duties:

  • Take briefings from design agencies in person
  • Write news releases, think-pieces and long-form articles and editing content and making final copy checks
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with clients and key journalists
  • Pitch in article ideas and find and create media opportunities


Experience / skills required:

  • Solid experience as a journalist
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to work to a brief
  • Strong communication skills with the ability and will to pitch ideas to the media
  • Experience working as a freelancer or in a client facing role is an advantage
  • A confident yet approachable attitude, able to build strong rapport with clients, journalists and colleagues
  • A strong interest in design
  • Great organisation skills to meet deadlines
  • A proactive and positive approach to work, able to show initiative and solve problems
