Job Description

A leading price publisher is looking for a Market/Price Reporter to assess prices and produce breaking news and commentaries for a dedicated dynamic market. Based in their Singapore office, this roles would suit a journalist with experience in financial/commodities publishing. Please note that applicants will need to have the right to live and work in Singapore as our client will not be able to sponsor visas.


Key duties:

  • Assess prices in line with company procedures
  • Produce market commentaries, breaking news, interviews and features in a timely fashion
  • Maintain and grow list of contacts, reaching sources through nuanced and knowledgeable approach
  • Contribute to editorial meetings and suggest improvements to coverage
  • Attend international conferences and visit contacts to conduct interviews as required


Experience / skills required:

  • Journalism and writing experience is required ideally within business, commodities, financial and economics
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential (written and spoken)
  • An interest and understanding of financial markets/commodities is essential
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a confident telephone manner
  • The ability to work in a global team and remain calm under pressure
  • Solid networking skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Self-starter with excellent numeracy
