Job Description

A music publisher in London are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their small and friendly finance team on a permanent basis.  This is a varied role, including debt chasing and is an ideal permanent role for an administrator who has a passion for numbers, accountancy and music, looking for a step into the accountancy world.

Key duties:

  • Processing client invoices
  • Posting cash receipts daily; including cheque, bacs and credit cards
  • Liaising with customers over collections to ensure receipts are allocated correctly 
  • Working with publishing staff over receipts and billing
  • Chasing clients for outstanding debts monthly 
  • Responding to queries 
  • Monthly review of Aged Debtors with Group Financial Accountant
  • Filing
  • Cover and support for purchase ledger
  • Other duties and projects as required by the Group Financial Accountant

Experience / skills required:

  • Administrative experience in the commercial environment at a similar level 
  • Experience in a Music Publisher would be an advantage
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable essential 
  • Excel, Microsoft Office, knowledge of JBA an advantage
  • Reliable
  • Good communication skills
  • Adaptable and flexible approach
