Job Description
A leading publisher of technical learning content is looking for a talented Editorial Project Manager to join their busy team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have great technical knowledge and commercial experience, with the ability to spot technical errors in book proposals and book outlines. 

Key duties:

Work with a team of Category Managers to assess/sign off book proposals and outlines. 
Work with Acquisitions Editors to oversee the commissioning of author talent. 
Ensure that content is created with the target customer in mind and re-writing content where necessary. 
Correcting technical errors made in book proposals and book outlines including looking over metadata. 
Manage a team of 30 Acquisitions Editors based in the Middle East and travel to Mumbai once a quarter. 

Experience / skills required:

A proven interest in technology through working in a tech based role. 
Editorial experience with excellent attention to detail is highly desirable. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to be firm with Acquisitions Editors.
Determined mindset with the ability to meet monthly targets. 
The ideal candidate must have a commercial mindset.
Management experience is desirable but not essential. 
BA or equivalent.
