Job Description
We have an excellent opening for a Comms Officer to join a not for profit organisation in London. This is a varied role with responsibility for producing a range of publications and promoting the charity through marketing activities and events. It would suit someone with relevant marketing, comms or publishing experience who is looking for a new challenge and would like to join an organisation where they can make a real impact.

Salary: £26,000

Key duties:
Manage the creation and delivery of informative publications, including a twice yearly magazine, annual report, leaflets, booklets and membership packs
Research possible new publications that would benefit the charity and oversee their publication
Create content for digital media channels such as the websites and social media and keep them regularly updated
Help attract corporate sponsors and assist with fundraising activities
Prepare promotional materials, such as presentations, flyers, advertisements and press releases
Handle media requests and liaise with journalists and the press
Attend events and meetings and assist with a yearly Awareness Day
Keep stakeholders, patrons and trustees updated on relevant activities 
Assist with ad hoc tasks when required 

Experience / skills required:
Relevant experience in a marketing, comms or publishing role
Excellent written and verbal English and ability to create accurate and informative copy
Superb interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of people
Strong InDesign skills and a good eye for detail
Ability to manage a varied and busy workload
