Job Description
We have an excellent opportunity for a Sales Manager to join a leading independent publisher of children’s books. You develop long and short term strategies to maximise sales of their books to the schools and library market. You will regularly meet with customers and represent the company at events and conferences. Proven strategic knowledge of the education market and strong contacts at schools and library suppliers are essential. 

Key duties:
Develop long and short term strategies to maximise sales to the schools and library market 
Regularly meet customers and key accounts to take orders, negotiate prices and discuss marketing promotions
Keep abreast of developments in the education market and changes to the school curriculum
Produce regular sales reports and monitor account performance against sales targets 
Attend publishing acquisition and development meetings and feedback insight into the market and customer needs
Collaborate with marketing and publicity teams on promotional activities 
Represent the company at events and conferences 

Experience / skills required:
Proven experience selling to the schools and library market 
Experience developing and implementing sales strategies 
Commercially astute and results focused
Good knowledge of the UK education market
