Job Description

An academic publisher in London are keen to add an addition of an experienced Online Sales Executive to the team. With a varied portfolio of eBooks and unique databases, and an already impressive list of institutions in the US, they are looking to build a sales team operating out of the UK. You will ideally work 3 hours a day, 5 days a week from home and attend ad hoc meetings in London as required. This is a contract for approximately 3 months with a view to going permanent. 

You will be experienced in sales a successful track record of selling online products and services into the academic market. You may already work in this market with some extra time, or be looking for a part-time sales role to fit around your current circumstances. This is a part-time home working role with meetings in London starting ASAP.

Key duties:

  • Follow up on leads and existing clients by telephone or email
  • Promote and sell research resources and subscription services within the EMEA, US and UK region
  • Update CRM System with actions and progress notes
  • Schedule product demonstrations
  • Monitor workflow using Salesforce
  • Maintain and increase UK Sales team presence

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid sales experience in the academic sector
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask and a proactive attitude
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Tenacity and persistence
