Job Description
A trade publisher in North Oxford require a 1st/2nd Line IT Support Analyst ideally with database/data manipulation knowledge. You will have experience of providing 1st and 2nd line support to a range of users in person, on the phone or via e-mail and be keen to learn new technologies in the Microsoft and MAC solutions set. This is for a period of 3-6 months with possible extensions.

Key duties:

  • Experience supporting users on Windows desktop 7/8/10, Office 2010/2011.
  • MAC OS X 10.6 – 11
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong customer and communication skills
  • Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Be able to work as part of a team to deliver effective solutions
  • A working knowledge of database theory, design and implementation

Experience / skills required:

  • Administering virtual servers on VMWare
  • Server 2003/2008/2008R2/2016 Exchange 2010
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, such as working with Pivot Tables
  • Creative Suite 6
  • Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server (SQL 2005/2008) or other databases.
  • A good working knowledge of relational databases and tools such as SQL
  • Understanding of batch processes/scheduled jobs and the implications of failures/delays.
  • IBM AS 400
  • Experience supporting A/V, video conferencing and MFDs.
  • Rights master systems
  • Onyx
  • AI
