An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior level PA to join a friendly, well-known publisher in central London. You will be offering one to one support to the extremely busy Founder and Chief Executive. As an unflappable people person with excellent organisational skills, you will able to anticipate the CEO’s needs and prioritise efficiently, liaise with many in the publishing world and also assist with some personal and family related tasks. This is a maternity cover role to start at the end of September / beginning of October 2018 and is anticipated to last for one year.

Key duties:

  • Management of Chief Executive’s diary
  • Arrange external meetings
  • Take verbal dictation
  • Arranging business travel an personal/family travel, travel itineraries (USA/Europe)
  • Arranging social events
  • Organising all staff internal presentations (internal or external venues) and making PowerPoint presentations
  • Researching contacts and institutions
  • Compiling weekly company newsletter
  • Processing Chief Executive’s expenses and coding invoices for approval
  • Fielding phone calls and dealing with incoming post
  • Assisting with miscellaneous issues
  • Covering for other PA members of staff during holiday periods

Experience / skills required:

  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Attention to detail and organisation
  • Good written English, spelling, grammar, proof reading documents
  • Good standard with MS Office
  • Minimum 50 words per minute typing speed
  • Confidentiality/Discretion absolute
