Job Description
A well-established medical and healthcare publishing company is looking for an Editor to join their office in north west London.  You will be the in-house Editorial Lead on a range of sponsored Guidelines projects, both online and print. The successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the ABPI Code of Practice and the pharmaceutical industry.

Key duties:

  • Develop and review brand strategy and editorial schedules for the brands based on audience
  • Responsible for published copy (print/online) ensuring it is at the required standard and quality
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the competition, the NHS, practices, information, trends and policies
  • Monitor brand engagement against agreed targets
  • Identify new commercial opportunity
  • Encourage team members’ contribution and development
  • Support junior editorial staff with their editorial tasks and knowledge

 Experience / skills required:

  • Life science degree (or higher) with an understanding of disease area terminology
  • Solid STM or MedComms editorial experience
  • Excellent communication skills and confident networker
  • Previous brand and line management are desirable
  • Interest on digital publishing
  • Healthcare professionals are also encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge on InDesign, ABPI Code of Practice and Google Analytics will be advantageous
