Job Description

A Marketing Coordinator is required to join an Open Access publisher. You will be supporting the promotion of journals in the science portfolio as well as assisting a busy and enthusiastic marketing team. This is a varied role for a period of 4 weeks with an immediate start.

Key duties:

  • Manage the marketing activity and meeting KPIs for a small number of journals
  • Proofreading and copywriting of benefit led marketing copy
  • Producing marketing reports on campaign performance
  • Support the marketing team with setting up effective and energetic marketing campaigns
  • Market research and data analysis
  • Social media account management
  • Design basic marketing collateral
  • Keeping abreast with key trends and developments in OA publishing
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships within and outside the company

Experience / skills required:

  • Excellent organisational, time-management and analytic skills
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • A good eye for detail
  • A strong team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • A degree or equivalent or relevant marketing experience
  • Sufficient excel skills
  • Knowledge of scholarly and OA publishing would be an advantage
