Job Description

Our client produces respected, award-winning, content-driven B2B websites, magazines, apps and events. They are now looking for an Advertising Sales Executive to sell recruitment and display ad space across both print and online. This is a challenging and varied role in a fantastic organisation.

Key duties:

  • Sell to direct clients and recruitment agencies/consultants
  • Initiate, manage and develop client relationships
  • Execute sales to the agreed strategy to drive online revenues and capture/migrate print volumes/value
  • Take personal responsibility for achieving individual and team targets
  • Develop and monetise associated online recruitment services
  • Initiate new revenue opportunities from existing clients and develop business from new clients
  • Meeting advertising revenue targets as set out in the annual budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of all clients and advertising agencies, prospects and opportunities using Workbooks CRM system
  • Measure performance by producing regular monitoring reports
  • Monitoring competitive media and market share reports
  • Identifies and attends networking events/exhibitions/conferences etc
  • Keeping up to date record of all business transactions/ advertisement bookings

Experience / skills required:

  • Excellent telephone selling techniques
  • Well-developed outbound/cold calling skills
  • Good understanding of the dynamics of print and online recruitment  services and how they work together
  • Highly motivated to exceed targets and always demonstrating high levels of flair, creativity and confidence
  • Good at working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • IT proficiency including knowledge of job board technology
  • Knowledge of Madgex (or similar) job boards technology would be an advantage
