What we care about

We care about the business of publishing. We care about candidates making the right decisions for their career and we care about clients making the right choices in candidates to grow their businesses. We also care about the bigger picture, the publishing industry as a whole, and what publishers and information providers care about - namely, that people have the resources to read and improve their lives. Because of this we are actively supporting the following organisation this year, by donating 5% of our profit to:

Volunteer Reading Help

Volunteer Reading Help (VRH) is a national charity (registered charity number 296454) which provides literacy support for children aged 6-11 in areas of deprivation across England. They work through 16 local branches in Greater London, Kent and parts of the North and Midlands.

VRH recruit reading helpers to work with children who may need extra support with their reading and with their confidence. VRH reading helpers receive comprehensive training, ongoing support and resources including books and games. Many VRH reading helpers go on to become part of the school community. Some reading helpers discover a vocation and decide they want to work with children. For everyone, it is an opportunity to give something back to their local community and to inspire the next generation of readers.

Each of VRH's 1,600 fully trained reading helpers gives 3 hours a week for a school year to help children, one-to-one, with their reading. Currently they are helping over 4,000 children per year and wish to reach many more. They hope to create a nation of confident children, literate for life and they need your help to achieve this.
