Having initially applied for a role I was under-qualified for, I promptly heard back from my agent at Atwood Tate who brought to my attention a different position and suggested I apply for this one instead. I did so and several weeks later I was offered the job. If it weren't for Atwood Tate, then, I would most probably still be searching - and not only did I secure a position but I now have a job which is perfectly suited to my chosen career path, a job I will actually love (something which I know is not easy in the current job climate). Atwood Tate were particularly useful for me because I was attempting to get back into the UK job market after 7 years of living abroad in Australia. The editorial area I work in, illustrated reference books, is niche and jobs in this area do not come up often. Helen Speedy (living up to the name it has to be said) was quick to take action when she spotted a role that matched my skills and experience in the Natural History department at Bloomsbury Publishing. She emailed me about the role and before I knew it I had a first interview. The whole process took less than 3 weeks.
