We have a great opportunity to work as a Production Editor for a world leading publisher of books and journals in Oxfordshire. The role will involve overseeing the production of a range of titles within the Psychology and Education team of the Production Editorial department. Key duties: · Oversee the production of new titles from receipt of manuscript to delivery of the final product · Commission and prepare material for external suppliers · Assess the quality of artwork and sample pages prepared by authors/suppliers · Prepare material for text and cover printers · Liaise with authors, commissioning editors, project managers, freelancers, typesetters, printers and designers · Provide authors and suppliers with relevant information and necessary support · Control schedules, budgets and quality of the end product Experience / skills required: · Strong organizational and negotiating skills · Experience of working in a book or journal production editorial environment · Ability to work effectively under pressure · Able to work both on your own initiative and as part of a team · An aptitude and enthusiasm for working with new technology and dealing with people For further information, please apply online or email a CV and salary expectations to clairelouisekemp@atwoodtate.co.uk Contact: Claire Louise Kemp Tel: 01865 339628 Closing date: Midday 29/06 so applications ASAP please Atwood Tate embraces diversity and seeks to promote the benefits of diversity in all of our business activities and to develop a business culture that reflects that belief.
