Job Description

Our client a leading academic and educational publisher is currently looking to appoint a HE Sales Representative to secure adoptions and drive sales across London and the South East.

Key duties:

·          Regularly call on campus bookshops promoting new titles, editions and assisting in promotional activity

·          Proactively develop relationships with booksellers and academics in London and the South East

·          Ensure all adoption information and forecasting is recorded clearly and reported promptly

·          Act as the contact for all higher education customers in territory

·          Ensure retention of current adoptions and actively secure new adoptions

·          Pursue all editorial leads and feedback market reactions to editorial and marketing colleagues

·          Ensure all title listings are effectively discussed with market and meet calling targets

·          Demonstrate and present online resources to academics and students

·          Communicate all activity within the territory

·          Attend conferences and events as required

 

Experience / skills required:

·          Solid sales or bookselling experience, with experience in campus calling preferable

·          Experience in giving presentations to existing and new customers

·          Good knowledge of industry trends and awareness of technology in learning

·          Demonstrable record of sales success and the ability to sell consultatively

·          Clean driving license

·          Flexibility to travel is essential
