A prestigious educational publisher is looking for an experienced Rights and Permissions Manager to oversee all rights and permissions work within their ELT business. This is a fixed term, 1 year contract to be based in either their central London or Oxford office (with some travel between).
Key duties: · Oversee the rights and permissions work (print and digital) · Ensure all third party permissions are cleared properly · Ensure all rights deals and managed and monitored, maximizing revenue · Help to shape company policy on IP · Facilitate on schedule publishing, within budget · Ensure any contractual/legal/IP/industry issues/trends are reflected in company training
Experience / skills required: · Considerable experience with rights deals in an educational context · Thorough understanding of all potential copyright, legal, and contractual issues · Highly organised and methodical, with an eye for detail · Able to multi-task and deal with many on-going projects · Computer literate · In-depth understanding of the educational business, products, and marketplace · Strong interpersonal skills
