We have an exciting opening in Oxfordshire for an assistant designer/designer in the Marketing Design department of a leading international academic publisher. This is the perfect opportunity for a design graduate looking to start their career, or for a more experienced designer looking to take the next step
Key duties: · Design and produce promotional material including catalogues, leaflets, and posters · Take briefs from UK and US Marketing Departments · Keep track of workload using departments’ tracking spreadsheets · Guide and recommend concepts and ideas to marketing · Liaise with external printers for sending artwork, proofing, and quotes
Experience / skills required: · Exceptional creative skills and ability to generate new ideas · Excellent page layout ability, knowledge of basic proof reading marks, ability to follow templates · Basic knowledge of Litho Printing, 4 colour process, and Pantone Colours · Understanding of the difference between print and web design · Good knowledge of Mac OS, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat, HTML and CSS · Able to work on your own or as part of a team
