We have an excellent new role with a renowned international educational publisher in Hampshire for a Project Editor. Encompassing managing their Higher Education book production programme this role requires proven four colour book production experience. In return our client offers excellent benefits along with an attractive bonus scheme. Key duties: · Monitor title specifications, schedule and costs for all new titles · Liaise closely with authors to assist and manage amendments and quality control · Supervise the work of freelance designers, copyeditors, proofreaders and indexers · Act as liaison between typesetters and manufacturing · Contribute to process improvement by proposing and implementing best practices · Manage complex reprint corrections · Liaise closely with other team members · Archive all content efficiently and accurately Experience / skills required: · Proven experience of 4 colour book production with firm knowledge of publishing processes · Excellent IT skills · Firm ability to copy edit and proofread · Experience of managing suppliers · Strong skills in communication with a proactive approach · Team player suited to a team-orientated and collaborative environment · Excellent eye for detail For further information, please apply online or email a CV and salary expectations to samcoleman@atwoodtate.co.uk Contact: Sam Coleman Tel: 020 7487 8274 Atwood Tate embraces diversity and seeks to promote the benefits of diversity in all of our business activities and to develop a business culture that reflects that belief.
