Job Description

An academic and technical journals publisher urgently requires a Production Editor to manage a list of print and digital journals. This role is an opportunity to join a forward thinking, innovative academic publisher of the highest standard. CV applications ASAP please.

 

Key duties:

·          Manage the  production process for a range of journals

·          Establish and monitor schedules for all titles

·          Prepare articles for copyediting and typesetting

·          Manage proof despatch, prepare print orders and approve advance copies

·          Ensure high quality content with set budgets

·          Work closely with authors academics and freelancers

 

 

Experience / skills required:

·          Demonstrable experience in journal production in an STM/Academic publishing environment

·          Excellent organisational skills with ability to multitask

·          Firm IT skills and working knowledge of web-based applications

·          A keen eye for detail

·          A flexible, proactive approach to work

·          Strong skills in communication are essential
