An award-winning independent book publisher based in Suffolk has an opening for a UK Sales Manager. You will be responsible for increasing overall UK sales and managing and motivating a team of agents, and will be expected to identify opportunities for product creation.

Key duties:

·         Grow UK sales overall and increase average margins

·         Personal responsibility for a panel of key accounts

·         Maintain our traditionally strong relationships

·         Lead the team of sales agents, and restructure if necessary

·         Manage the stock levels

·         Identify opportunities for product creation

·         Expand customer own brand/exclusives business

Experience/ skills required:

·         A strong track record in sales in the UK publishing industry, ideally children’s and adult

·         Excellent market knowledge

·         Able to play a lead role in developing UK sales strategy

·         Sales team management experience

·         Able to play a lead role in creating the right product

·         Willing to travel extensively throughout the territory and attend bookfairs

·         A flexible approach to working hours
