Job Description

A digital educational publisher in London is looking for a Content Editor to prepare and publish digital content as well as develop and manage a picture library. This is an exciting, permanent role for a hands on, passionate individual.

Key duties:

·          Upload, prepare, adapt and publish content 

·          Develop and maintain a picture library

·          Take content from InDesign files or PDFs, reformat tables, boxes, bullet lists as required

·          Adapt, correct and sub-edit elements of online content as required

·          Ensure a good ‘spread’ and range of content

·          Ensure good visual appearance of the website at all times

·          Find suitable image files and upload images to web content pages

·          Broadcast publication of all uploaded content via Twitter

·          Provide general team support as required



Experience / skills required:

·          Experience of working with online content

·          Experience of using a content management system (CMS)

·          Works well under pressure

·          Basic understanding of sub-editing and proof-reading, types of content

·          High level of accuracy

·          Flexibility and willingness to tackle new tasks and challenges

·          Knowledge of the English education system and teaching terminology would be beneficial
