Job Description

A leading academic publisher with offices based in the South East is looking for a Marketing Manager to drive and coordinate their promotion of Higher Education products for the Northern Europe and South Africa territories. This is a full time permanent role.

Key duties:

·          Work closely with academic consultants and regional

·          Undergo regular focused travel with the sales team in all regions

·          Devise and implement a timely and strategic emarketing schedule

·          Develop new ideas that add value for the customer

·          Plan and strategise author led events in targeted and relevant subject areas

·          Liaise closely with Editorial and product development teams

·          Develop marketing, education, training and communication plans for key technology products

·          Prepare and present annual marketing plans outlining strategies for growth


Experience / skills required:

·          Proven Higher Education publishing experience in a marketing capacity

·          Proven track record in sales

·          Solid knowledge and understanding of the competitive publishing landscape

·          Solid experience of developing marketing strategies for textbooks, related technology and assessment products

·          Excellent IT skills

·          Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills

·          The ability to travel on a regular basis

·          Driving license required though not essential
