Job Description

The publishing arm of a professional, dynamic organisation for the Oil and Gas industry is looking for a Publications Project Manager to manage and implement their print and online publications programme. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production professional looking for a new challenge.

 

Key duties:

·          Take responsibility for the development, planning and co-ordination of the publications programme

·          Set and negotiate pricing and revenues from sales and royalties in-line with the budget

·          Arrange and co-ordinate translations.

·          Collect and source photographs, maintain the library and select photographs for publications

·          Establish and maintain good working relationships

·          Produce accurate publications to planned timescales, including monitoring design, proof-reading and copy editing

·          Develop and maintain the use of standard templates

·          Ensure that communications reach all the appropriate people in member organisations

·          Manage stocks and sales including maintaining records and producing statistical reports

·          Ensure that all website content is maintained and up to date

 

 

Experience / skills required:

·          Experience of preparing publications for print and print production, including writing a brief, commissioning design, artwork and print and liaising with suppliers

·          Excellent verbal and written communications skills

·          Able to proof-read, copy edit and ensure accuracy and quality of publications

·          Excellent personal organisation and project management skills

·          Ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships

·          Demonstrable experience of writing, editing and proofreading articles and publications

·          Self-motivated, confident, personable and articulate

·          Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
