Key duties:

·          Manage the production of assigned print and online journal titles

·          Coordinate author corrections and manage supplier relationships to meet publication dates

·          Proofread content for consistency and quality

·          Source and implement cover images

·          Approve and upload digital content

·          Work closely with the Press Office to promote specific content

·          Update and report on schedules, budget and supplier performance

Experience / skills required:

·          Previous experience in an STM journals publishing environment

·          Ideally educated to degree level in a science subject, or equivalent

·          Strong desk editing skills and proven ability in copy-editing/proof-reading with scientific notations

·          Excellent project management skills

·          Relevant experience using mark-up languages and web technology for journals publishing

·          Excellent communication and relationship building skills

·          Strong IT skills including MS Office and knowledge of electronic production processes
